Finally, Holy Family Parish In Whitby, ON Hears Homily On Evil Of Contraception

Yesterday I traveled to Whitby to set up my signs at Holy Family Parish once again. About two months ago I was there to highlight the scandal of a pro-abortion Catholic politician receiving Holy Communion on a regular basis. This time I was there to give a warning to parishioners about official teaching on contraception as contained in the Catechism of the Catholic Church. I have been travelling to parishes throughout Oshawa and Whitby with this same message for the last couple months.

Recently Fr. Shenan Boquet of Human Life International had a very relevant commentary on this subject of contraception and the betrayal by clergy to teach the truth about it. His words are an excellent accompaniment to my protest.

First a pamphlet campaign. On windsheilds. An idea that is morally unsettling will lead to some people seeking the truth.

Just wait until all are in mass and hit as many cars as you can. Be mild, just tell the truth. We are trying to save souls, not tell them how bad they are.

Cassius, great idea. Go ahead and let me know how you make out. In the meanwhile, I'll be fine tuning my preaching, trying to save souls and little babies.

I have once, slight change in pastor's tone, but noticable towards idea of sin and suffereing and confession. Very anti abortion now.

Next step is connecting abortion, sexual confusion and every other sin to contraception. In a concise enough way...

Its the parishoners, especially the men, who will see the logic of sex as recreation has led to the slow downfall of society.

What your doing is good, we all cant do that yet. But if everyone who reads this bombed the saturday night mass parking lots with pamphlets, like a chick tract, that made your point, how would the Holy Spirit work in some of those parishoners.
We are battling principalities and powers.

ELA, any chance you might have a transcript of your speech?

Cassius, how about a copy of your pamphlets?

God willing, I'd like to do something similar where I live.

You guys are sure inspiring. Please keep up the GREAT work - and may God bless both of you!!

You do good work. Next we need to make sure that all the babies thay would have been aborted ate properly cared for. Many women get abortions because they do not have the financial means to properly take care of the child, and the child will suffer. How do we make sure that all of these children are cared for after they are born. We need to make sure these mothers have access to quality child care, ample groceries, and a safe place to raise their child. Because if we are going to force these women to have an unwanted child, we are responsible for ensuring that child has a good quality of life. Because we are jot saving their life only for them to suffer, right?

Kori, are you saying we should allow an unborn child to live only if we are sure that the child can be saved from any future suffering? I'm not sure that I can take your comments seriously. Stand back for a minute and listen to what you are saying. Not a single human being on this planet that a know should have seen birth according to your criteria because no child (nor adult) could be guaranteed such provisions, certainly not one who lived before our modern times. If you'd like to have a serious realistic discussion by all means respond but so far your comments are sounding like ridiculous "pro-choice" talking points.

Well times have changed, we have to move forward. So you are saying that you would force a woman who does not have the financial means to take care of a child to have one, and then wipe your hands clean of the situation, and let her struggle and the child suffer?

And you would say instead kill the child early in the game?
Heartless.

Kori, in the west we have many options and a good welfare state. What you imply is ridiculous.
