Butter Pot, a popular park just outside St. John's, will
likely have special significance for Nicholas
Benmore as he grows up, as the infant — the first born in Newfoundland and
Labrador this year — was delivered near there in an ambulance that was forced
to pull over.
"Nicholas wasn't waiting. Four eighteen in the morning, he was born on the TCH by Butter Pot Park," said his mother, Jennifer MacDonald, who told CBC News that delivering the child in an ambulance came out of the blue.
